A old timer in Cleveland told me to stop pulling wire in cold weather, and it cost me a whole Friday
I was roughing in a garage sub panel back in January when it was about 18 degrees out, and this old timer on the crew kept telling me to wait until it warmed up because the insulation would crack. I figured he was just slowing me down and I pulled a 60 ft run of 12/2 anyway. Long story short, the jacketing split in two spots near the box and I had to rip the whole run out and redo it Saturday on my own time. Anyone else had cold weather bite them like that, or do you just keep the wire in the truck overnight so it stays flexible?
