Had to pick between a $70 Wago kit or a $12 roll of wire nuts for a 12-box remodel
I went with the Wagos because I was sick of twisting, then dropped the whole kit down a stud cavity 10 minutes in. Has anyone else paid extra for convenience and instantly regretted it?

Did you fish it out or just write it off as tuition for the "buy cheap, lose cheap" lesson?

Nah, I actually gotta disagree a bit here. Dropping the Wagos sucks, sure, but that's more of a butterfingers problem than a tool problem lol. I've had wire nuts pop off in tight boxes or just not grab right on stranded wire, and that's a way bigger headache than losing $70 down a wall. The time I saved not fighting with 12 connections in a tight remodel box paid for itself before lunch. Plus you can always fish em out with a magnet if you're not too committed to the "out of sight out of mind" method.
