Overheard a foreman say something that stuck with me all week
On a job in Tacoma last Tuesday, I was pulling wire through a tight conduit run and heard a foreman tell his apprentice, "Troubleshoot the problem, not the symptom." That hit me because I'd spent an hour that morning swapping a breaker that kept tripping, only to find out the real issue was a nail through the romex in the wall. Now I always check for obvious mechanical damage before I even touch a panel. Anybody else have a habit they picked up from listening to older guys on site?
