That time a 20-year-old panel label was completely wrong
I was upgrading a service in a 1978 house in Tacoma and the old panel diagram showed a circuit for the garage outlets. I shut that breaker off, got a tingle from the line I was working on in the kitchen, and found out the previous electrician had swapped two circuits and never updated the label. What's the oldest or most misleading label you've ever had to deal with?

That tingle would've made me jump out of my skin... did you end up having to trace the whole kitchen circuit back to figure out what was actually on it?

Nah, just flipped breakers until it stopped.

Got a label maker and went room by room after that. Wrote down every outlet and light on each breaker, taped the list inside the panel door. Took forever but now I know the weird bathroom fan is on the same circuit as the garage fridge.

My uncle's 1960s fuse box had a label just saying "upstairs lights". Tbh, that covered three bedrooms, a hallway, and a weird outlet in the pantry. We spent an afternoon just mapping it out with a lamp.
