Bought a $22 magnetic screw mat on a whim and it has saved me twice this month
I used to just use a plain white towel for small screws and it bit me one time on a laptop teardown when a tiny pentalobe rolled off the bench and vanished into the carpet. After that mess I grabbed a magnetic project mat for $22 on Amazon and honestly it has paid for itself already. Last Tuesday I did a phone screen swap and had 14 little screws sitting there in labeled spots instead of scattered everywhere. For anyone still working off a bare bench, what is your setup for keeping tiny parts from disappearing?
