Fixed a flickering monitor by baking the main board in my oven

Had a 27 inch Dell that would cut out after 20 minutes, and a new power board didn't fix it. I pulled the main logic board, wrapped it in foil except the chips, and baked it at 385 degrees for 8 minutes to reflow the solder. Has anyone else had a board survive this fix for more than a year?

You baked a monitor board in your actual kitchen oven. That's a wild level of DIY commitment right there. I'm just picturing the smell.

My uncle once tried to reflow a graphics card on his grill. The whole backyard smelled like melting plastic and burnt hope for a week. He still swears it almost worked.

Actually, you need to remove the foil from the chips too, they can overheat.
