Pro tip: check the fuse before you pull the whole board

I was fixing a 10 year old stereo for a guy in my shop. The sound cut out and I spent an hour checking the main amp board. I finally looked at the tiny glass fuse on the power supply and saw it was blown. Swapped it for a new 2 amp fuse and it worked. How many times have you jumped to the big fix and missed the simple part?

Always check the fuses first, man.

Samreed's right, starting with fuses just makes SENSE.

Nah, fuses blow for a reason - swapping it without finding the cause is just asking for round two.
