PSA: I was wrong about flux cleaning, a $9 brush in Sacramento changed my mind
For 4 years I swore isopropyl and a cotton swab was plenty, then a board came back twice with corrosion under the QFN. An old tech at a shop on Fulton Ave in Sacramento handed me an ESD brush and told me to scrub with the grain of the pads, not in circles, and every rework since has come out clean. Anyone else ditch swabs for brushes, or am I late to this?

Buddy of mine swore by swabs too, then scrubbed one board clean.
