The back of a TV box in Fort Worth said 1 in 3 units comes back in a year, and my bench agrees
Was breaking down a shipping box at a client's place in Fort Worth last week and the return rate note on the side panel stopped me cold. It said roughly 1 in 3 flat panels gets sent back inside a year, and that got me counting my own ticket pile from the last six months. Out of 27 boards I took in, 9 were the same power supply cap issue on the same model, which is not a coincidence. Anyone else keep a tally like this, or am I just weird for writing model numbers on a legal pad?

9 out of 27 on one model could just be one bad batch slipping through QC, and 1 in 3 overall feels like box marketing math. A year is a long time for a flat panel, so I would not call it a crisis yet.

Ran mine two years with no issues, so @maryr43 is probably right on this one.
