How my kid's hobby made me slow down on service reports

I used to zip through writing up elevator service reports. My kid, who builds tiny models, noticed I always rushed. He told me how one missed piece ruins his whole project. It hit me that skipping steps in reports might hide real problems. So now I double-check every note I make. This has already saved me from a couple close calls. I owe it to his careful way of doing things.

Totally get how that careful focus rubs off. My neighbor fixes old radios and his patience made me recheck my own wiring at home. Found a loose connection I would have missed before.

Ever notice how careful habits spread to others? @jamiehayes seeing it in cooking and OP from a kid's models shows that. Good attention to detail is kinda contagious.

Ngl, my partner does the same thing with cooking recipes and it totally changed how I handle my own work. Watching them measure everything exactly taught me that my usual "close enough" attitude was causing small errors to pile up. It's crazy how taking an extra minute to review things can stop a bigger mess later. Your kid sounds really smart to have figured that out so young.

It's wild how that precision mindset can leak into everything, like checking your work email or even planning your week. Those small habits train your brain to handle bigger stuff without even trying.
