Lead tech said my pit cleanup looked like a crime scene, and he was right
Two weeks ago Dave, our lead tech at the downtown Dallas building, walked past my pit after a rebuild and just shook his head. He said oil dry was still caked in the corners and a rag was sitting on the buffer. So I started carrying a small shop vac down with me and wiping the guide rails with a rag on the way out. Now I do a 5 minute sweep before I sign off, and he has not complained once. Any of you keep a mini vac in the pit bag or am I the last guy to figure this out?
My buddy got reamed for leaving his pit lookin like a raccoon died down there, so now he keeps one of those little handheld vacs clipped to his bag. Takes him like two minutes and the lead tech leaves him alone now.
