Showerthought: a helper in Dallas told me to stop riding the car top during leveling, and he was right
I used to ride on top while bumping the car to floor level, but he pointed out I was fighting the counterweight and making it jerky, so now I stand on the sill and watch the tape mark instead, and my stops have been dead on for 3 months straight.

Standing on top while bumping is basically asking the counterweight to throw you off. Glad someone finally told you before your knees did. Three months of dead on stops is a nice way to say I told you so.
