That 2am door lock fault that took 6 hours to crack
Went back to a hotel in Nashville last week for a door lock that kept dropping offline. Checked the controller, the wiring, even swapped the lock head. Still dead. Finally at 2am I pulled the door closer and found the arm was pinching the communication cable, shorting it every time the door closed. Six hours for a half inch of slack. Has anyone else had a door hardware problem that turned out to be something that dumb?
