Why does nobody talk about hitting 100,000 elevator rides on the same otis unit
I was resetting the counter on a 1998 Otis 401 in Columbus last Tuesday and it flipped to 100,000 total rides, which made me think about how many people have been carried by this one machine that nobody ever looks at, so I'm curious how high you've all seen a counter go before a controller swap wipes the number.

Man, that Otis has seen more action than most marriages and never once asked for a break. Meanwhile I can't even get my building's elevator to stop eating the same floor button every other week.
