Honestly, when I went solo back in 2019 my old boss Dave told me to get the check the day I finish or don't finish. I did net 30 anyway for a while and got burned on a $2,100 job in Fayetteville last spring. The lady just kept saying the check was in the mail for six weeks. Tbh now I ask for half up front and the rest same day, and I haven't chased a single payment since. Anyone else get talked into net terms and regret it?
