Shoutout to my old landlord Ray in Cincinnati, who let a $600 invoice ride for 6 months
I was digging through a shoebox of old paperwork last night and found an unpaid invoice from 2019, back when I was doing photo edits for a guy who ran a bike shop on Vine St. Ray owned the building and never once bugged me about rent, just said drop it when the job pays. Now I have a Net 30 tracker, a deposit up front, and a whole folder of follow up templates. Do you all ask for a deposit on small jobs or just eat the risk and hope for the best?
