Bought a $120 LED face mask off Amazon and it did nothing for 3 months

I caved and got one of those popular red light therapy masks back in January. Three months of using it 5 days a week, 10 minutes each session, and my skin looked exactly the same. No reduced redness, no glow, nothing. I finally took a multimeter to the thing and found out it was barely putting out any light at the right wavelength. Total waste of cash and time. Has anyone else tested their devices with a meter or am I just paranoid?

Ugh that is SO frustrating, I would be livid. Did you actually contact the seller or Amazon about it, or did you just toss it? I'm really curious if they would even acknowledge a customer who tested the wavelengths.

Did you ever actually try one of those little light meter cards they sell for like ten bucks? I got a cheap red light panel from a garage sale once and figured I'd test it out with one of those cards. The panel lit up the card just fine so I thought I was good to go. After a month of nothing I grabbed my buddy's multimeter and found out the panel was putting out way less power than it should have been. Turns out the cheap power adapter was the problem not the lights themselves. I swapped the adapter for a stronger one and it actually started working after that. So maybe it wasn't the mask itself that was junk but the plug you got with it.
