Dropped $200 on a fancy facial steamer and it's just a fancy kettle
Bought a top-of-the-line steamer from a supplier in Chicago thinking it would level up my extractions. After three uses the heating element started making weird noises and it barely produces steam now. Has anyone else had luck with cheaper models or am I just cursed with bad equipment?

Dang, was that Amazon one actually built different or just luck?

Isn't it the worst when the "pro" stuff ends up being total garbage? I had almost the exact same thing happen with a pricey steamer from some online shop, it died after a month and I was so mad. Switched to a basic $40 one from Amazon and it's been running like a champ for over a year now.

Ran like a champ for over a year." That's wild. I can't even get my expensive stuff to last that long.
