Oh man, here we go again with the Austin hype. I mean sure, Austin has some decent spots but acting like it's the only place for skin prep knowledge is a stretch. San Antonio's been quietly doing this stuff forever, my grandma's friend down there uses pulque masks and her face looks better than half the people I see in Austin's overpriced salons. But hey, maybe the client just wanted to make you feel special for dropping cash on a cert. Everybody's gotta justify their expenses somehow, right?

Actually went to a dermatology conference in SA last year, total game changer. They had a whole panel on using fermented ingredients from traditional Mexican skincare, like pulque masks for exfoliation. Never heard that talked about anywhere else, even in Austin's natural beauty circles. Seems like San Antonio's got that deep knowledge because it's been in families there for generations.
