Yeah, my buddy's new soundbar remote had buttons so close together he kept turning on subtitles instead of volume. He got so fed up he just uses the TV speakers now.

The fact that remotes are still this confusing blows my mind. My grandma has one with tiny, unlabeled buttons. She accidentally orders pay-per-view movies all the time. That frustration is exactly why tricky apps get uninstalled. Design needs to be easy to use, not a puzzle.

My friend's dad kept turning on the Spanish audio track because two identical black buttons sit right next to each other. He thought his TV was broken for a week. It's that exact kind of hassle @the_lisa mentioned. My designer friend saw it and just put her head in her hands.
