I switched from a basic steamer to a nano mister for extractions and the difference is huge
For years I just used a regular facial steamer, the kind that puts out a lot of warm vapor. It worked okay, but I felt like I was still working too hard during extractions. About 8 months ago I invested in a nano misting device after reading about it. The mist particles are so much finer, it really softens the skin without that heavy, wet feeling. I find pores are more receptive now and the whole process is gentler for the skin. Has anyone else made a switch like this and noticed a change in how easily things clear?

Wait, you spent eight months using it before posting this?

That makes total sense. The regular steamers always left my face feeling kind of puffy and raw. The finer mist probably gets deeper without cooking the surface layer. I've been thinking about upgrading for a while now.

@john506 Good catch, I actually saw a dermatologist on a skincare podcast talk about this exact thing. She mentioned finer particles in nano misters can hydrate deeper layers more effectively because they're small enough to bypass the stratum corneum without overwhelming it. That stuck with me because it explained why my old steamer made my face feel like a wet sponge while the nano mister just makes it feel pliable. I've heard some people even notice less redness post-extraction with the nano mist vs traditional steam. Totally matches what you're describing about the difference being huge.

How long do you typically steam with the nano mister before starting extractions, and have you found a sweet spot where it's most effective without overdoing it?
