I thought gua sha was just influencer nonsense but my face actually changed after 2 weeks
I've been an esthetician for about 6 years now and honestly rolled my eyes every time a client asked about gua sha. Figured it was just another TikTok fad like jade rollers that sit in a drawer. But after a client brought in her before and after photos from a 4 week routine, I got curious. I tried it myself for 2 weeks straight, using a basic rose quartz tool I grabbed at TJ Maxx for $12. The morning puffiness in my jawline went down noticeably, like I could actually see the difference in photos. My massage therapist friend said it's just moving lymph fluid around, which makes sense for drainage. Now I recommend it to clients who want a non-invasive option, but I still think the $80 versions are a scam. Has anyone else had a skeptic-to-believer moment with a tool you thought was hype?

Ha, I'm still waiting for my face to get the memo

@dylan_ward What kind of memo are you waiting for anyway? Something showing up in the mail or one of those emails that gets lost in spam? I've been there with the whole "waiting for my face to cooperate" thing too. Is it just the patches not clearing up fast enough or something else going on?

Mate your face is probably smarter than you give it credit for. Maybe it's actually getting the memo loud and clear but you're just not reading it right.
