I was dead wrong about beet peel facials until last Thursday

A regular of mine swore by them for 6 months and I finally tried one on my own skin after a breakout, and the redness calmed down way faster than my usual routine. Has anyone else found a treatment they ignored at first that ended up working really well?

Wait, beet peel facials? Like you literally put beet skins on your face? That sounds like something that would stain you purple for days. Huh, I guess the antioxidants in beets really do something for redness, never would have guessed that worked in a million years. Kind of wild that something from the produce aisle outdoes fancy serums sometimes. Might have to cave and try it myself now, even if I look ridiculous with pink cheeks for an hour.

Oh man, I tried this a few months ago after seeing it on some random blog and I felt like a total beet monster for like two days lol. The redness in my cheeks actually calmed down way faster than my usual stuff though, it was kinda wild. I just mashed up the peels with a little yogurt and it wasn't even that messy, just looked super dramatic in the mirror. Honestly worth the temporary pink face for how good my skin felt after.

Wait, you mixed it with yogurt too? I thought you were just slapping straight beet peels on your face like some kinda veggie mask lol. The mashed up thing sounds way less messy but I can't get over the "beet monster" look for two days. That's dedication. My skin is so crazy reactive I might try it, but I'm definitely doing it at night so nobody sees my purple face.
