My steamer gave up mid-facial yesterday, so I had to get creative with hot towels and a kettle.

I mean, the client was super understanding, but I'm definitely ordering a backup unit today, has anyone else had a key piece of gear fail like that?

Had my facial bed motor die right before a client once, pure panic.

Oh man, I just cranked it up by hand!

Remember you can't just crank those motors by hand, the gears are locked when the power's off. Had to learn that the hard way too. You need the manual release lever, usually a red knob under the headrest. Takes a bit of force but it'll get you through the appointment.

Actually think it's a yellow knob on most of the newer ones. Red was the old style. Still in the same spot though.
