PSA: that $180 enzyme peel everyone pushes is overkill for most faces
My old instructor came through town for a class in Mesa last month and told me most estheticians fry the barrier chasing instant results, then wonder why folks break out worse 10 days later. I ran a gentler 20% mandelic routine on 15 regulars for two months and their texture looked just as smooth without the downtime. Curious if anyone else has cut back on the strong stuff and seen better results, or am I just lucky with my crowd.
Your 15 regulars might just have skin that never needed the strong stuff in the first place, so of course a gentle routine works on them. Problem is the clients who come in with thick, clogged, sun damaged skin need something with actual punch, and babying them for two months wastes their money and time. Two months on 15 people is a pretty small sample to tell everyone to ditch the real treatments.
