Saw too many esties skip patch testing on tinted SPF this week

I worked a bridal trial in Scottsdale where the client broke out in red welts on her neck after using a new tinted sunscreen the MUA brought. We had to restructure the whole look in 20 minutes because no one checked the ingredient list for niacinamide sensitivity. Has anyone else run into irritation from products that claim to be "gentle" but still cause reactions?

Three weeks ago I would've sworn patch testing was overkill for stuff labeled sensitive. Then my cousin tried a "gentle" tinted moisturizer before her engagement photos, whole face turned blotchy in an hour. The label listed niacinamide right there, plain as day, and nobody thought to flip the bottle over. Now I'm that annoying person who makes everyone swatch behind their ear first, even on the "safe" stuff.
