Spent $300 on a 'professional' facial steamer that broke after two months

I got this steamer from a big beauty supply website, thinking it would be a great add on for my treatment room. It worked fine for about eight weeks, then just stopped heating up completely. The company said the warranty only covered thirty days, so I was out the full amount. Has anyone found a steamer brand that really lasts more than a few months?

Maybe the company has a point with that short warranty. Some products just aren't built for heavy daily use in a business setting. You might have just pushed a home-grade gadget past its limit.

@robin896 makes a valid point about home vs pro equipment, but the bigger issue here is how companies push products that just weren't meant to last. Its like everything now is built to break right after the warranty runs out. I had a blender do the same thing, worked perfect for two months then just died. Seems like we're all getting trained to expect nothing to hold up anymore.

My cousin borrowed my favorite hoodie and gave it back with a weird stain that smelled like burnt popcorn. I had to wash it three times before it was wearable again. Still not sure what she was doing in it, maybe some late night snack disaster. People just don't treat your stuff with the same care, you know?
