Spent 45 minutes trying to get a stubborn comedone out yesterday

I thought it would be a quick 5 minute extraction before my next client, but that thing had been hiding deep for weeks. Has anyone else had a simple extraction turn into a whole ordeal?

Read an article recently that said sometimes those deep cysts can actually be better left alone if they're not inflamed. The body can absorb them eventually. But yeah, I've been there where what looked like a tiny pore turned into a full on excavation site. Lesson learned the hard way too many times. Next time I'm just going to leave it and hope it works itself out. Sometimes the picking just makes it mad and causes scarring.

Yeah the "less is more" part really hit home for me. I had a cyst on my back that I kept messing with. Every time I tried to squeeze it, it just got bigger and angrier. Eventually I just left it alone for like two months. Warm compresses a few times a week. It shrunk down to basically nothing. No scar either. My derm said the body can reabsorb the fluid if you don't mess with it. Now I just ignore any cyst that's not hurting or infected. Hardest part is not picking, but the result is way better.
