Warning: My facial gua sha technique has the group split

Tbh, I learned how to use gua sha tools from an online class last month. Some estheticians in my circle say it's a gentle way to help skin and relax folks. Others think it's just a trend that doesn't do much good. I'm caught between both views. What's your take on using gua sha in treatments?

Used a spoon for massage once, worked okay in a pinch.

Think twice before using a spoon for massage. In my experience, metal spoons are too hard and can bruise your skin. Your mileage may vary, but I've seen people end up with red marks that last for days. Take this with a grain of salt, but using your hands or a softer tool is much safer. Spoons lack the give that helps control pressure, so you might hurt yourself. It might work in a pinch, but the risk is not worth it.
