Disagree tbh. Sometimes you gotta just get the shoe on quick and the exact angle doesn't matter that much.

Used to just hammer them in straight and hope for the best. Then my farrier showed me how a bad angle on a front shoe made my gelding's stride shorter. Started paying real attention, and now his shoes stay tight for the full six weeks. That little bit of extra care makes all the difference, doesn't it?

Yeah, winging it was my go-to for a while. I found that taking five minutes to list out steps made a huge difference. Like for cooking, I'd write down ingredients and timing before starting. It saved me from so many last-minute scrambles.
