A textile rep in Charlotte told me my print was "last season" and I almost scrapped it, glad I didn't
I was at a fabric show in Charlotte back in March and this rep looked at my mood board for maybe 10 seconds before saying my floral print felt dated. I almost threw the whole thing out that night. But then I remembered she also told my friend her stripes were too loud, and that friend's drop sold out in 3 days. So I kept the print, tweaked the scale to make it bigger, and it's now my best seller at my spring pop up. Has anyone else had a buyer or rep kill your confidence on a design that actually worked out?
