Back in design school, I was always fighting with my muslin toiles for a fitted bodice. The instructor said to 'just keep tweaking' but that took hours. One day I tried cutting the toile on the bias instead of the straight grain, just to see. It draped like a dream and cut my fitting time in half. Anyone else have a weird grain trick that saved them?

Oh man, I always thought you had to stick with the straight grain for that. That's a game changer for sure.

My last project used that trick and saved me like three yards, right @cora_west5?
