My aunt told me my designs were 'too safe' after seeing my whole portfolio.

She said, 'I can tell you're scared to mess up, but that's where the good stuff is.' Has anyone else had a comment that made you totally switch up your process?

Is playing it safe always a bad thing? Sometimes a clean, reliable design is exactly what a client needs, not a big messy risk. I wouldn't let one comment totally change what works for you.
