My mentor told me to stop using synthetic fabrics for bridal wear - fought her for months until a bride's dress literally melted at a beach wedding last June

Laughed at my mentor for months saying polyester would be fine. Then watched a bride's dress turn into a literal puddle of melted fabric on the sand at 2pm in June. Guess who had to spend her whole wedding budget buying a replacement dress from a random boutique that afternoon. Now I tell every bride to stick with silk or at least a cotton blend. Lesson learned the hard way.

Satin polyester melts around 350 degrees, not 200 like that poor bride found out.

Pretty sure satin polyester actually melts closer to 250-275, not 350 lol. Still way hotter than 200 though, that bride got seriously unlucky with whatever cheap fabric that was.
