Gotta admit I used to think the same way, but then my wife bought me a pair with pockets for Christmas. I can keep my glasses, phone, and TV remote right there without losing anything between the couch cushions. It's one of those small things that actually makes a difference, even if it sounds silly at first.

Seriously though, @white.keith, pajamas with pockets are a game changer. I got some last year and it's so nice to not have your phone or remote just fall out when you get up. It's about the little comforts making life easier, not just the fabric feel. You don't realize how much you need them until you try it. Trust me, once you have pockets you won't go back.
