Rant: The vendor hall at Phoenix Fashion Week is just fast fashion with a craft fair sticker on it
Went to the market section at Phoenix Fashion Week two weeks ago and walked the whole floor in about 40 minutes. Counted 9 booths selling the same printed crop tops from the same overseas supplier, just with different paper tags taped on. One lady selling "handmade" linen jackets had a visible factory care label with a size run printed on it, so I asked her where the fabric was cut and she changed the subject fast. If your design idea starts with a wholesale catalog instead of a sketch, where does the actual designing part come in?
