Tried a raw-edge denim jacket pattern, the fraying went sideways on me
Picked up a pattern last week that called for leaving seams exposed, but after one wash the edges curled into these weird stiff ropes instead of staying flat. Anyone else have luck stopping raw denim from rolling, or is it just a look you gotta commit to?

Starch it heavy before sewing, kinda bakes the fray flat.
