Appreciation post: my agent said my offer letter sounded like a form, so I rewrote it
She told me sellers in this market skim those letters and mine opened with 'To whom it may concern,' which made it read like a bank memo. I cut it to three sentences about the oak floors and the 1950s kitchen, and we got the house in Ferndale on our second try. Has anyone else had an agent push back on their letter like that?
