Ended up loving a house I almost skipped because of the paint color

We looked at this split level in Burnsville for maybe five minutes and I wrote it off because the entire living room was this awful bright orange. My wife convinced me to stop back on our way to another showing, and I'm glad we did. That paint was just cheap and easy to fix, but the bones were solid and the price was $12,000 under what similar homes in that neighborhood were listing for. We put in an offer that same afternoon and got it. I learned that I was letting a $40 can of paint cloud my judgment on a $280,000 purchase. Has anyone else almost passed on a house because of something cosmetic that ended up being a non-issue once you looked closer?
