Looking at the same house listing three years later...

Three years ago, my partner and I saw a cute bungalow in Springfield listed for $185,000. Last month, we saw it pop up again, but now it's $295,000 and needs a new roof. Last week, we finally got our pre-approval letter and the realtor just laughed when we showed her our old wish list. How are you guys adjusting your 'must-have' list with how crazy things are now?

Adjusting your must-have list" is the whole game now. We just had to drop the second bathroom dream to even stay in the running.

Totally feel that, we gave up on a garage and a yard to even get a look in. The market right now is just brutal for anything that isn't a total fixer.

Did you end up having to go further out than you originally wanted, or are you just accepting a lot less space closer in? We are starting to wonder if we should just keep renting and wait out this ridiculous cycle.

Dropping the second bathroom is rough, that used to be a pretty basic ask. Did you find you had to give up on location too, or were you able to stay in the neighborhoods you originally wanted? Our list is basically just "has walls and a door that locks" at this point lol.
