My first house had a hidden well in the backyard
When I bought my first place in Raleigh 8 years ago, the inspector missed an old well cap buried under a patch of ivy. I found it when I tripped over it while digging a garden bed and water started gushing out like a geyser. Anyone else ever discover something the inspector totally missed? lol

Man, that's wild. I think it's funny how we trust experts to catch everything but they're human too and stuff just gets missed all the time. Kinda makes you wonder what else slides through the cracks in our day to day lives, you know?

But they're experts for a reason, right @the_john? Like, a pilot missing something on a pre-flight check is way different than you or me missing it. Trusting professionals is how society works. Otherwise we'd all have to be brain surgeons and rocket scientists just to drive a car.
