We were ready to just paint over the old cabinets until he pointed out the laminate countertops were fused to the backsplash in one solid, green, unchangeable piece, which sent us back to the drawing board to find a house with a kitchen we could actually afford to update.

Ngl, @david134 my buddy had one of those avocado kitchens and the vibe was great til the landlord showed up.
