Talked to a home inspector last week who said most first-time buyers skip the sewer scope

Respect the opposing view but I gotta say I've seen plenty of older homes where the sewer scope guy is just trying to upsell a pipe lining job. My pops bought his house 30 years ago, never had a scope, never had a problem. Sometimes you can just look for wet spots in the yard and check the age of the house, that tells you enough.
