TIL comparing two lenders line by line beat going with the one my realtor pushed
When I bought my first house in Columbus last year, my realtor kept telling me to just use her guy. I got a quote from him and one from a small local credit union, then put both Loan Estimates side by side on the kitchen table. The realtor's guy had $3,400 more in closing costs once I added up all the junk fees with names I didn't understand. Has anyone else found that the recommended lender isn't always the cheaper one?
