A guy in a Fiverr Facebook group told me to price my logo gigs at $150 and I did it
Back in March I was charging $35 for logos on Fiverr and getting buried under $5 sellers, so this guy named Dale in a Facebook group told me to jump straight to $150 and just wait. I thought he was nuts, but I did it anyway and sat there for two whole weeks with zero orders, refreshing the app like a maniac. Then a brewery in Portland ordered one, then two more came in that same week, and now I get maybe 4 orders a month at that price instead of 20 at the old one. My total went from around $700 a month to almost $600, so not a huge money jump, but way less work and way less haggling. Now I want to try $250, so what is the ceiling before Fiverr buyers bail on you?
Man that nervous two week wait sounds brutal, refreshing the app over and over with nothing coming in. Really feel you on the haggling part too, that alone makes the price jump worth it. Curious what you end up doing at 250.
What made that Portland brewery pick you over the cheap sellers in the first place, was it your samples, your reviews, or did they just want someone who did not look desperate? I ask because the jump from 35 to 150 worked, but 150 to 250 is a whole different crowd, and those buyers usually want a full brand package, not just a one off file. If a guy comes to you at 250 and he only needs a simple wordmark, will he pay it, or will he bounce to someone at 120? The real ceiling might have less to do with Fiverr and more to do with what you are willing to hand over at that price, like extra files, a few rounds of edits, or some basic usage rights.
