Charging for revisions upfront stopped my nightmare client cycle

After a client in Phoenix demanded 11 rounds of changes on a $300 logo gig, I started quoting a flat fee for the first draft plus a set price for each revision after that, and it cut my unpaid extra work by about 80 percent, has anyone else tried this and did it scare off good clients?

The revision cap is honestly the smartest move in this post. It doesnt scare off good clients because good clients dont need 11 rounds on a $300 logo in the first place. The people who get scared off are the ones who were gonna waste your time anyway, so honestly its a filter more than a risk. I'd even say you can go a step further and put a time limit on those revisions too, like 30 days max, otherwise projects just drag forever while they sit on it for weeks then suddenly need it done yesterday. That alone saved me more headaches than the pricing change, because some folks will ask for a tweak, ghost you, then pop back up two months later expecting the same flat rate. Pair the per round fee with a deadline and you basically kill off the nightmare clients before they even start.
