Fiverr's buyer requests used to feel like a scam, then one $600 project changed my mind
I spent like 3 years avoiding Fiverr completely. All I ever saw were $5 gigs and people complaining about getting ghosted. Upwork felt like the only real place for writers. But last month a client messaged me through Fiverr after I posted a portfolio piece in the forum. No joke, he offered $600 for a white paper that took me 4 days. Paid half upfront through the platform. I still think the fees are criminal on both sites, but now I'm wondering if I judged Fiverr too fast based on old horror stories. Has anyone else flip-flopped on one platform after a single decent job? What made you switch sides in this debate?
