Found a way to get repeat clients without lowering my rates
I was stuck getting one-off gigs on Fiverr for months. Then I tried sending a short follow-up message two weeks after each job just asking how things were going. Out of 12 clients I reached out to, 4 came back with new work within a month. Has anyone else tried this or got a better method for keeping clients?

That follow up trick works way better than people think. Most freelancers vanish after getting paid so just checking in shows you actually care about the work. Building that habit turned my one-off gigs into steady monthly work from about half of them.

Man I read something just yesterday about how freelancers burn through clients by treating them like transactions instead of people. @wadejenkins is right, that simple check in after payment does more than any fancy pitch ever could. Shows you actually give a damn about the project still, not just the check.
