Got ghosted right before a deadline, then the power went out in Portland

I was wrapping up a logo gig for a local brewery, 3 days before the final file was due, and the guy just vanished. No replies to messages, no call, nothing. Then a tree took out the power on my block in Portland for 6 hours, and I thought my laptop battery would die with the whole project. I ended up driving to a 24 hour McDonald's on Burnside at 2am just to hit send on the draft, and he finally replied the next morning like nothing happened. Has anyone else had a client go dark right at crunch time and then act all casual about it?

asked the power went out in Portland" is wild, like the universe was testing you. Dude replies next morning all chill, I'd have lost it and asked if he even looked at the draft before sending a novel about the McDonald's drive thru.
