Had one crazy week where Fiverr sent me 5 orders in a single day

I've been on Upwork for 6 months and usually get maybe 2 messages a week, but last Tuesday on Fiverr I woke up to 5 new order notifications for logo designs. One client even tipped me $30 extra because I finished his rush job in 4 hours instead of 24. Has anyone else seen a sudden flood of gigs like that and did it ever dry up just as fast?

That's a wild week, waking up to five order notifications is the kind of problem I wish I had more often. I had a similar burst on Upwork once where three people messaged me in a single morning for fencing diagrams, and it was a solid week before things slowed back down again. I hope that $30 tip is a sign your luck is sticking around.

Did that $30 tip come in right away or did it take a few days to show up? I swear some clients promise extra and then it never actually lands in your account. Five orders in one day sounds like a dream though, I had something similar once with a rush batch of gig logos and then it went totally silent for two weeks before picking up again.

Wondering if you've noticed a pattern with which types of clients actually follow through on those extra tips? I've been on these platforms long enough to see that the ones who promise a bonus during the project rarely deliver, but the ones who quietly add it after the fact are the ones you can count on. The burst of five orders does sound nice but I bet you're right to be suspicious of the promise until it clears. Did the client mention the tip before or after you delivered the work?
